Moone Celtic 3 - 2 Edenderry Town, 16/10/2010
Kill 0 - 2 Moone Celtic, October 9th
This was the return fixture of two weeks previous and Moone had a point to prove to their hosts who caught them on the hop in that game but this time round Moone controlled most of the pace of the game with a solid win away. Emmett o Keeffe opened Moone's scoring as he took on two defenders and then cooly tapped the ball pass the on-rushing keeper to make it 1-0. With Kill getting to grips with how fast Moone were passing the ball plenty of fowls were been committted and from a free-kick thirty yards out Tom Kavanagh hit a rocket of a shot and the Kill No. 1 couldn't handle it as he parried down to O' Keeffe who was first to react. 2-0 at half time Moone were well in control. The first ten minutes of the second half saw the roles reverse however as Kill applied some serious pressure themselves but Moone's defense stood firm and saw the result out to the end. Some great performances from Ciaran Nolan, Tomas Murphy, Jason Lambe and David Byrne in the Moone goals.
Moone Celtic 5 - 1 Kilcullen, October 2nd
Moone hit the ground running when Emmett o Keeffe opened the scoring on six minutes as he hit a volley ten yards out. Moone enjoyed a lot of possession for the first quarter of the the game and made good use of it on 25 minutes when Tom Kavanagh took on the entire Kilcullen defense to make it 2-0 going in at half time to the home side. Kilcullen faught back on 50 minutes after Moone failed to clear a ball from their defense but Moone's Eric Mackey restored their two goal advantage on 60 with a shot from the edge of the area. Mackey made it four on 70 when he made his way into the box and pulled the trigger to beat the Kilcullen's no 1. O' Keeffe finished off the scoring on 85 when he went on solo run through a maize of Kilcullen defenders and hit the net to leave it 5-1 to Celtic on the day. Best for Moone were David Byrne, Jason Lambe, Ciaran Nolan and Tomas Murphy.
Moone Celtic 0 - 1 Kill, September 25th
The visitors came away with all three points as Moone's performance was well below par at Fortfield Park. A slow start to the game as very few chances presented themselves from either side for the first twenty minutes. Kill were awarded a free well inside their half and as Shane o Hagen stepped up to take it the last thing he expected was to see his effort sail the whole way to the back of the net as David Byrne in the Moone goal was caught by the flight of the ball and the wind that got behind it. Moone's Emmett o Keeffe had a chance to level things up just before the break but Eddie McSweeney in the No. 1 shirt for Kill was well positioned to save his effort. The second half saw Moone improve their passing game but Kill stood firm at the back. Daniel Leigh and Evan Kelly came close for the home side near the end but it was Kill's day as they faught off a Moone team who have lots of room for improvement. Best for Moone were Niall Hickey, Ciaran Nolan, Tony Murphy and Adrian Hanlon but early days in this league campaign to be too worried about this result.
Moone Celtic 8 - 2 Sallins, September 18th
Moone hit the ground running with only three minutes gone when Adrian Hanlon hit the back of the net as he pounced on a fumble inside the box to put Moone ahead. Just on twenty minutes Daniel Leigh extended their lead as a straight through ball came to his feet an he hit first time to beat the onrushing keeper. Right from the tip off Sallins seemed to walk through the Moone defense who had switched off and pulled one back. It wasn't long before Moone restored their two goal lead as Leigh hit the net again on thirty minutes. And again on forty to make it four. As Moone took their foot off the gas Sallins got through yet again and were awarded a penalty after a mis timed tackle inside the area. It looked like that was going to finish the scoring for the first half when Leigh popped up again on the stroke of half time to extend Moone's tally to 5-2 at half time. Moone came out determined not to concede any goals in the second half and that was exactly what they done as on fifty five minutes MJ Kane ran from deep to hit the net and on seventy five Tomas Murphy took the ball from midfield to make it 7-2. Heads had surely dropped in the Sallins camp at this stage and on eighty minutes Hanlon finished the scoring as the game finished with the home side winning 8-2. Best for Moone on the day were Ciaran Nolan, Tomas Murphy, Evan Kelly and Tony Murphy.
Kynog 1 - 4 Moone Celtic, September 11th
A excellent start to this years season as Moone travelled to Kynog and met a very well organised team who will no doubt be there or there abouts at the end of the season. The visitors were a bit rusty to begin with and allowed Kynog freedom to pass the ball quickly and paid the ultimate price with twenty minutes gone when a late tackle inside the box resulted in a penalty of which they dispatched with ease. Moone took some time to get into the game and it wasn't until the forty first minute when new man Daniel Leigh got on the end of a cross to level things up. Moone were begining to get going and just before the halftime whistle hit the net again when MJ Kane struck to make it 2-1 to the visitors. The second half saw Moone up the tempo and their work was rewarded on sixty minutes when Mikey Wall volleyed to make it three. The last goal came from a solo effort by Emmett o Keeffe who's run beat off five defenders and then the keeper to leave the final score 4-1 to Moone on the day. Best for Moone were Ciaran Nolan, Tomas Murphy, Niall Hickey and Evan Kelly.

Under 16 Premier Division 09/10
Moone Celtic 2 – 1 Athy Town, 27th March
Athy began the stronger of the two sides and moved the ball very quickly about as Moone found the pace too strong early on. The visitors were getting closer and closer to goal with every attack as Moone seemed to allow them plenty of time on the ball. Athy opened the scoring as an intercepted throw found Arron Meade who didn’t need to be asked twice as he coolly found the back of the Moone net. Moone realised they would have to get stuck in and within five minutes were awarded a penalty as an attack on goal seen a handball given inside the box. Eric Mackey dispatched the kick past Athy’s Luke Doyle. 1-1 at half time Moone needed to speed things up if they were going to get the right result out of this game. Quicker passing saw Moone pile on the pressure and it wasn’t long before they got what was to be the eventual winner as Emmett o Keeffe beat three defenders and the keeper to put Moone in front. Both sides cancelled each other out after that as some fine football was produced between these two evenly matched sides. 2-1 to Moone the final score as James Clancy, Mark Foley and Mark Robinson all played well for Athy and Ciaran Nolan, MJ Kane, David Byrne and birthday boy Ian Hayes all played well for Moone.
Clane 1 - 0 Moone Celtic
Moone came into this tie with only ten men to make a team but credit to the lads that showed up really put enormous pressure on Clane all throughout the game. Moone could have gone one up early on as Adrian Hanlon got a chance from twelve yards out only to see his shot go inches past the post to the relief of the stranded keeper. Clane used the extra man well and Moone's defense found it hard going at times as wave after wave of Clane players tried to get past the strong defending each time. Eventually Clane broke the deadlock only from an error in their own half gifted to them by a stretched Moone side who were on the attack at the time. This remained the scoreline untill the very end as Moone spent the last twenty minutes fo the game camped in the Clane box but to no avail. Best for Moone were Tomas Murphy, John Lavin, Emmett o Keeffe and in goals David Byrne.
Edenderry 1 - 2 Moone Celtic, 15th February
This was a brilliant result for a Moone side that is still not at full strength and were yet again missing players through injury as well as coming up against a very determined Edenderry side who looked as good as any team they met this year to date. it was nip and tuck between the sides for most of the first half with Moone coming close through Eric Mackey. But just on the 36 minute mark Moone's Adrian Hanlon found the back of the net as excellent two touch football resulted in the Edenderry defense been stratched to far out for Hanlon to pounce. The second half saw Moone increase the tempo and were rewarded with Mikey Wall unleashing a fantastic kick from near the centre of the park to beat an unsuspecting Edenderry keeper. To their credit the home side didn't drop their heads and hit back straight away with some good team work to hold on to a lifeline for the rest of the game. Moone held their nerve and ended up with all three points in this very entertaining fixture. Best for Moone were Ciaran Nolan, John Lavin, Adrain Hanlon and Tomas Murphy.
Moone Celtic 6 – 2 Kilcock, 06th of February (1st round Cup)
Both sides were determined to get off to a good start which led to some scrappy play for the first twenty minutes or so. Eventually the game settled down and some good passing play emerged from both teams but Moone were the first to hit the net when Gareth Moore was taken down inside the box and Eric Mackey coolly dispatched the penalty. Kilcock didn’t lose their nerve and just three minutes later found the back of the Moone net after a perfect delivery from a corner kick. Moone reacted well and upped their game as they attacked down each wing and were rewarded just before the half way mark as Mikey Wall finished off a quick passing move to put Moone back in front. The second half started with a bang as Moone’s Adrian Hanlon got two quick goals to put them 4-1 in front. With Kilcock head’s dropped Mikey Wall got his second as he saw his free kick find the back of the net. Still pushing forward Moone got their final goal of the game as Emmett o Keeffe headed the ball past the onrushing keeper. Kilcock grabbed a late consolation to finish the scoring in the entertaining game. Best for Kilcock were Eoin McCardle, Leon Glennon and Niall Vorster while Ian Hayes, Tomas Murphy, John Lavin and Ciaran Nolan all done well for Moone Clane 2 - 1 Moone Celtic, 30th January Moone came into this game with the bare eleven and down some regualars due to injury so they knew it was going to be a mammoth task to get a result from this game. Clane on the other hand were well up for this game and found the net as a result of poor defending from Moone. The game was very tight throughout as neither team really came close to scoring for long periods of the game. Moone's Emmett O Keeffe came close though as a long range effort destined for the top right hand corner of the Clane net was finger tipped over by the agile Clane keeper. Clane got a dubiour second as Moone were waiting for the off-side call from the referee which never came but Moone showed good spirit and answered back straight away with a lifeline from Mikey Wall. Unfortunately for Moone the equaliser was not to come as time ran out to leave the home side victorious. Best for Moone were Tomas Murphy, Emmett O Keeffe, Ian Hayes and Mikey Wall.
Moone Celtic v Newbridge Town, January 23rd,
Game abondoned due to serious injury sustained by Newbridge Town player.
Moone Celtic 3 - 3 Clane Utd, November 28th
After all the rain in the past few weeks it was a relief to get back to playing ball but both teams found it hard to get going early on with few real chances been presented to either team. It was the home side that took the initiative as Emmett o Keeffe set up Mikey Wall to slot the ball past the advancing Clane keeper. Fifteen minutes later Tomas Murphy found Ciaran Nolan wide on the left wing who crossed perfectly to Gareth Moore to double Moone's lead. 2-0 to the home side at half time Clane were going to have to up their game in the second half to get anything out of this contest. And they did just that, five minutes in a through ball decieved the Moone defense as Clane made the most of the mistake to claw one back. Minutes later Moone went down to ten men after a second bookable offense and from the free kick given a goal mouth scramble resulted in Clane bringing the game back to level terms. By no means was this game dirty but Moone were reduced to nine men after yet another second yellow. Clane could see their chance to take all three points as Moone's defense looked thorn appart and as positional changes were been made the visitors got their opportunity and took the lead in the game for the first time. Moone never gave up though and right before the final whistle Mikey Wall popped up to save a point for Moone as he found the Clane net. Best for Moone on the day were Gareth Moore, Mikey Wall, David Byrne and man of the John Lavin in centre back.
Arlington 1 - 3 Moone Celtic, October 10th
Moone Celtic 3 - 1 Arlington FC, October 3rd
A scappy contest which saw both sides performing well below par only for the home side to salvage all three points through some determined chasing and good passing when the opportunity arose. Arlington started the stronger though and on 7 minutes were ahead as Moone's defense were only finding their feet. Not fased by this to their credit Moone plugged away and in the 31st minute got a free kick from which Tomas Murphy got on the end of a perfectly taken kick from Mikey Wall. Moone got on top from this and five minutes later Tony Murphy chased down a nothing ball to tap pass defender and keeper to put Moone one up going in at half time. The second half saw Moone apply even more pressure as several attacks were cleared to safety by an honest Arlington back line. On 75 minutes Moone's Emmett o Keeffe finished the game off as the ball was moved about clinically for him to position himself for a shot that the Arlington keeper couldn't reach. 3-1 to Moone the final score with Ciaran Nolan, Clive Stanley, David Byrne and Gareth Moore also playing well for the home side.
Athy Town 3 - 6 Moone Celtic, September 28th
A positive performance after the dissapointment of the Edenderry game two weeks ago. Moone were up for this contest after putting plenty of hours in training working on their game. All throughout the team each player took on their opponents when given the chance which unsettled Athy right from the start. It wasn't long before Moone were in the lead as some quick movement off the ball led to Athy been dragged out of position leaving plenty of gaps from the attacking play from Moone to exploit. Not long after that Moone grabbed another as Pressure was piled on the home sides defense. The third goal came from some great individual play from Emmett o Keeffe as he beat five defenders and then the keeper to grab the first of his hat-trick on the night. Just before the half time whistle Eric Mackey found some space on the right after Adrian Hanlon had drawn two defenders and Mackey coolly slotted home from the inside of his right boot to the opposite corner, a fantastic goal which gave the Athy keeper no chance. The second half saw Athy come out with determination and were back in the hunt as some indecisive play from Moone allowed them in for their first. Moone were in no humour for making it easy for a come back and effectively ended the contest as tthey grabbed their fifth as o Keeffe rifled a shot off the cross bar to find the back of the net. Athy got one back as Moone took their foot of the gas but answered that one back almost straight away as Gareth Moore fired home a cracker from outside the box to finish up Moone's scoring on the night. Athy did grab a late concillation but the contest was well and truely over as Moone secured their first win of the season away from home. Best for Moone were Eric Mackey, Adrian Hanlon, Emmett o Keeffe and Tomas Murphy.
Edenderry 2 - 1 Moone Celtic, September 14th
A tough game to start of the season saw Moone produce an outstanding performance just to be pipped at the post in the last minute of the game. The home side started off the stronger as Moone took some time to adjust to playing under lights at Paddy Maloney Grounds in Edenderry. It has to be said fantastic grounds and playing surface. Moone eventually got going and were soon putting pressure on Edenderrys back line. On a break just before the half time whistle Edenderry found space at the back to get in for the opener. The second half started with Moone applying serious pressure and eventually through a perfectly taken corner from Mikey Wall, Eric Mackey gladly headed to the roof of the net giving the Edenderry defense no chance. Moone could have had a number of penalty claims after that but were ignored. As the clock was ticking down Edenderry broke down the right wing and a pot shot from 25 yards out on the right somehow found the bottom corner of the Moone net. A sicking blow for the huge effort from the entire team that deserved at least a point from this fantastic display for their first competative game of the year. Best for Moone were Eric Mackey, MJ Kane, David Byrne and Chris Daly.

Under 15 Division 2008/09
This was a typical end of season lackluster game with little to offer anyone who looked on. The home side didn't seem to have the same drive in them as the last time these two sides met and Edenderry took full advantage as they were two up at half time through some quick passing. The second half was more of the same but as Moone tried to push forward to get back into the game gaps started to appear at the back and Edenderry exploited every chance they got, putting another two in to finish the game off 4-0 to the visitors. Moone were short on numbers but all who played tried hard with Mikey Wall, Emmett o Keeffe, Chris Daly and John Kelly doing well.
Moone Celtic 2 - 0 Kill, April 5th
This one was slow to get going and the visitors tried hard to break down Moone early on only to be denied each time with some solid defending yet again from captain MJ Kane and his defensive back four. It wasn't long before Moone found their feet with Mikey Wall and Tomas Murphy taking control of the middle of the park and playing some good through balls only to be denied by an in form Kill keeper. Emmett o Keeffe however was inform as well as he beat two defenders to put Moone one up after 20 minutes. Moone had another chance before halftime through Adrian Hanlon only for the shot to go inches wide. The second half saw Moone push hard for all three points as several times Kill's back four had to be sharp as Wall and Murphy put inch perfect passes through each attack. A quick move down the right wing put Gareth Moore wide to cross into the box and found Murphy who quickly dispatched the ball to the net. 2-0 to Moone the final score with John Lavin, Clive Stanley, Barry Nolan and Mikey Wall all outstanding for the home side.
Moone Celtic 0 – 1 Newbridge Town A, 28th March
With nothing between these two sides it was going to take something special to win this one. Newbridge started the stronger with good passing play from the back out through midfield. Moone were at their strongest at the back with John Lavin turning out a solid performance. Moone could have went one up in the first half as Adrian Hanlon was denied by the visiting keeper when the ball fell to him one on one. 0-0 at half time both sides were going to have to up the pace to try and break the deadlock. The visitor’s captain Cian o Brien lead by example throughout and pushed his team hard. This strong will to win saw Newbridge get a free kick just outside the area which Keith Egan coolly sent to the top corner. After that Moone pushed hard for the equaliser and could have denied Newbridge the win when Mikey Wall knocked the ball over the keeper only to see the ball go agonisingly wide as Tony Murphy chased it down. It wasn’t meant to be for Moone as MJ Kane, John Whelan, Clive Stanley and John Lavin all played well. While Rob Whoriskey and Ian Mulligan were both strong for Newbridge.
Moone Celtic 4 - 2 Arlington, March 17th
Moone were egar to get back to winning ways after their away defeat to Edenderry and straight from the start they weren't going to dissapoint. Just five minutes in after some great one touch football in the middle of the park Mikey Wall finished to put Moone one up. It wasn't long after that when they found themselves two up through a perfectly crossed corner for MJ Kane to head home. Arlington tried to get back into the game but couldn't find a way through with some solid defensive play from Moone's back four along with some good positional play from Barry Nolan in goals. Ten minutes before the half time whistle Moone grabbed a third when Walls shot deflected off a defender to almost finish the game as a contest. The second half saw Moone up it yet another gear and were four up after ten minutes in when Wall grabbed his hat-trick to finish the game off. Arlington did hit back with two near the end from a free-kick and a goal mouth scramble but Moone were comfortable winners 4-2. Best for Moone were Mikey Wall, John Whelan, Tomas Murphy and John Kelly.
Edenderry 2 - 1 Moone Celtic, March 14th
This was one of the best games of the season to watch apart from the score line. Both teams played outstanding football for the entire game without one bad incident throughout. Moone looked the more dangerous going forward and Gareth Moore had a couple of chances to open the scoring only to be foiled by some strong defending. Moone went behind in the second half through a rare defensive mistake but soon were back on level terms when John Kelly found the back of the net. It looked like it was going to finish up all square when Edenderry saw a quick brake turn into a goal-mouth scramble and the ball found the back of the net to give them all three points. A dissapointing result for Moone but some great team work from everyone on the day.
Moone Celtic 3 - 0 Newbridge Town "B", March 7th
Moone were well on top right from the start even against a strong wind for the first half. Moones Gareth Moore came close twice only to run out of space each time. Newbridge tried hard to break down Moones defense but couldn't find a way through. 0-0 at half time Moone knew they would have to up a gear in the second half if they were to come away with maximum points and it wasn't long before Emmett o Keeffe found the net with a diving header from a cross sent in from Clive Stanley. Mikey Wall was on target for Moones second as he took the ball on from a perfectly timed pass from Tomas Murphy to hit the back of the net with his left foot. Moone were not finished at all and from a corner 10 minutes from the end Adrian Hanlon headed home to seal the victory for the home side. MJ Kane, Ciaran Nolan, Barry Nolan and Mikey Wall were all outstanding for Moone.
Sallins 2 - 2 Moone Celtic, February 28th
Kynog United 1 - 5 Moone Celtic, January 17th
All in all a good win on the road from Moone. Moone always seem to have an extra gear when the preasure comes on and everytime they produce the goods when it really matters. Some good one-touch football again saw Kynogs defense struggle to contain both wingers and it wasn't long before Mikey Wall got on the end of a long ball from the back to open Moone's scoring. After that Moone settled down and Tony Murphy saw the keeper parry his shot only for John Kelly to be the quickest to react 2-0 up going in at half time Moone knew it was far from over. Kynog started strong and soon found the back of the net with a rare defensive mistake. Almost straight away a change was made which saw Gareth Moore come off the line to score, almost from his first touch. Kynog's heads dropped straight away and soon after that John Keatly made a solo run to grab Moone's fourth. The weather conditions were getting worse but Moone weren't finished by no means and five minutes from the end Moore got his second of the day and Moone's fifth to seal the victory. Not Moone's finest performance but a win none the less with some great individual efforts from Emmett o Keeffe, Tomas Murphy, Mikey Wall and John Lavin.
Kilcock Celtic 2 – 8 Moone Celtic, January 10th
This was played in tough conditions for both teams with high winds and soft ground under foot. Moone got off to a flyer as some good one-touch football made it hard for Kilcock to contend with. A cross from Mikey Wall on the left was meet with John Kelly heading down for Emmett O Keeffe to slot home. Weather conditions were to take it's toll on Moone defence as a long ball down field bounced in front of oncoming Moone keeper Clive Stanley only to see it bounce over his head and into an empty net. The second was no different as a long throw was flicked on with the strong wind and decieved Moone's defence. 2-1 down against the run of play Moone knew they had to up it a gear. And they didn't dissapoint, on 15 minutes Tomas Murphy got on the end of a perfect corner to level things up again. Moone got right on top of things after that and soon knocked the ball about to put Kilcock under more pressure. On the 20 minute mark a cross from Adrian Hanlon on the right was met by O Keeffe who got his second of the day and almost straight from the tip off Tomas Murphy was at the end of a John Kelly cross from the other wing to go in 4-2 up at half time. With the winds in their backs for the second half Moone started off steady and on 50 minutes Mikey Wall got past three defenders to beat the keeper one on one. Kilcock looked dejected and straight away from the tip off John Whelan used the wind to his advantage and lobbed the keeper from the sideline. After that Kilcock lost interest but Moone were by no means finished as a perfect cross from Gareth Moore found John Keatly waiting to pounce to make it 7-2. A late goal came from a goal mouth scramble and Kevin Dempsey was sharpest to react to leave the scores 8-2 to the visitors. Every single player contributed to this solid performance as it was too difficult to pick any outstanding.
Moone Celtic 3 – 0 Kynog, November 29th
Cold conditions and heavy going made it difficult for both teams but the home side seemed to cope quicker as they had instant pressure denied by some nervous defending. It wasn’t long before Moone found the net from this pressure as some great play from Mikey Wall found Emmett o Keeffe in the centre to slot the ball past a fully stretched Kynog keeper. Wall was instrumental in several more attacks from the wing and soon after the first yet another perfect cross found Adrian Hanlon to go two up going in at the break. The second half saw Kynog come out the stronger as Moone struggled to get to grips with them in midfield. Moones back four were solid throughout though as Chris Daly at left back made several key tackles to deny Kynog each time. Tony Kealy was also on top form as any chances that did make it through he was on hand to deal with them well. Moone’s third came from a break from the back as Kynog’s keeper could only parry from John Kelly’s shot only to find Hanlon lurking for his second of the day. 3 – 0 the final score as Kynog’s Conor Staines hit the underside of the crossbar late on only to see his shot bounce within inches of the line. Martin Baneham left full and Donal McGrath in midfield played well for the visitors while Tomas Murphy, Niall Hickey, Ciaran Nolan and Tony Kealy all played well for Moone.
Kill Celtic 2 - 9 Moone Celtic, November 8th
Very windy conditions made this an interesting contest to watch but Moone were in no mood to be concerned about the weather conditions right from the start. It wasn't long before Moone found the back of the net from one of the many perfectly delivered corners from Mikey Wall, Tony Murphy the scorer from the head. Kill then spung to life and found themselves putting pressure on Moone's defence and a corner resulted in some strong defending from Niall Hickey. From this Kill got the slightest of flick-on's at the near post to find a their number four unmarked to give Emmett o Keeffe in goal no chance. This seemed to wake Moone up a bit and straight from the tip off went down the other end and restored their advantage through double hat trick hero Adrian Hanlon. This was to prove costly to Kill's confidence as Moone found the net another three times before the half time whistle with goals from Clive Stanley, John Kelly and one more from Hanlon. The second half saw Moone face into the strong wind and so some tactical changes had to be made, the changes worked perfectly as Moone hit two more through Hanlon within five minutes of the start. Game over as a contest. Moone could then knock the ball about with great confidence as the home team looked dejected. Two more from Hanlon before the end rounded off his tally for the day as Kill got in for a late concilation goal at the end for the scores to finish up 9-2 to Moone. Everyone played well on the day but Mikey Wall was outstanding in the middle of the park with MJ Kane playing centre-half having one of his best performances but man of the match could only go to the man with six gaols, Adrian Hanlon.
Moone Celtic 6 - 0 Sallins, November 1st
Moone were egar to put their SFAI cup defeat two weeks ago behind them and concentrate on League affairs for this and straight from the start the got in top gear and were one up after just four minutes with some great two touch football to expose the Sallins back four, John Kelly getting his first of his hat trick of the day. Only three minutes after that Adrian Hanlon was on the end of a perfectly placed pass from John Whelan to put Moone two up. The visitors heads dropped and they soon found themselves three down as provider again, Whelan put Hanlon in only for the keeper to parry on to the ever alert Kelly to grab his second. 3-0 at half time it was going to be hard for Sallins to come back in this one. Right from the kick off Moone played a long ball to put pressure on the visitors back line only for the ball to be cleared to the oncoming Mikey Wall who strck first time and didn't give the keeper much home as his shot found the top right hand corner. Moone looked comfortable after that as Sallins looked dejected. Kelly grabbed his hat trick just fifteen minutes left and Hanlon got his brace with five left on the clock. All in all a great performance from Moone right from the back line to the forwards and a close call for man of the match between hat trick specialist John Kelly and work horse John Whelan but Whelan getting the nod.
